Welcome to STAX.  Thank you for being here and supporting our vision and brand.

From the boot of Don’s car and the spare room of his family home in 2014, to global reach via our online store we are so grateful to have our loyal community along for the journey.

We are proud to be the first active wear brand in Australia sizing from xxs - 4xl (size 4 - 24 aus) and truly stand behind the brand’s values that ‘Everybody is a STAX. Body’. 

At STAX., we are dedicated to fostering a movement where everyone belongs, feels welcome and every story is valued (and has really great activewear).  

OUR STORY

Founded in 2015 by South African born Designer and Creative Director Don Robertson, STAX. has built its community around strong brand values and commitment to size inclusivity and representation.  

Matilda Robertson (née Murray), (now co-owner of the brand and Director of PR) met Don in 2016, while he was building STAX. (known then as ‘MuscleSTAX’) and working from a supplement store in Perth CBD.  

The brand’s growth, though initially slow, began to gain traction. From the spare bedroom in Don’s family home, to a storage unit in Perth, STAX. began to build a strong community, eagerly waiting for each new limited edition collection to launch. 

Before Matilda joined STAX. full time, the pair moved to Sydney for her then role in recruitment, where she worked on the brand after hours with Don. STAX. continued to run from a storage unit in Sydney, until the growth required more space, leading them to their first warehouse and office. 

STAX., now in its current warehouse sees Don and Matilda leading a team of 50+ and nurtures a thriving community which they refer to as the “STAX. Fam”.  

Don continues to draw inspiration from his love and appreciation of the performing arts, which influences the brand’s campaigns, runway shows and collections and continues to be motivated by the strong support from the STAX. community (STAX. Fam).
